Chelsea Collaborative celebrates Minimum Wage Increase

Chelsea Collaborative organizers and members worked hard to get hundreds of signatures for a ballot initiative that would pose the question of raising the minimum wage in Massachusetts.  Because the grassroots efforts, like the Collaborative's, were so strong throughout the state, legislators decided to jump start the timeline.  They created legislation, signed into law by Governor Patrick on Thursday June 26th, to raise Massachusetts' minimum wage to $11 with incremental changes each year beginning in 2015 and ending in 2017. The Collaborative applauds the Governor's and legislator's actions to make Massachusetts one of the highest minimum wages in the nation!
