We're Growing! Expanding the Workforce Department Pipeline for Chelsea Adults

Earlier this year we began offering English as a Second Language (ESL) classes; now, we are excited to announce an even further expansion of our adult education opportunities, with the addition of computer and basic literacy classes!

Participants will receive expert-level training and will learn how to put invaluable professional skills - such as resume-building and applying for jobs - to use in real-world settings. Participants will also benefit from the support of wraparound services, ranging from assistance in completing application processes and requirements, to building connections with local employers from multiple industries, such as WashCycle Laundry and the Wynn Casino, with whom the Collaborative has built a partnership. With this increase in services, it is our goal to provide our members with every opportunity to develop the communication and cultural skills necessary to secure employment, interact with their child's school, pursue pathways to citizenship, and more.

Beginning April 23rd, classes will be offered for 10 weeks as follows:

ESL: Monday and Thursday, 10:00am - 12:00pm (followed by Cafecitos at 12:00pm)
Adult Literacy: Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Computer, basic level: Wednesday, 6:00 - 8:00pm; Saturday, 9:00 - 11:00am
ESL for Job Placement: Wednesday, 6:00 - 9:00pm (for 13 weeks)

Classes are offered to Collaborative members free of charge. More information on how to become a member here.
